Proceeds from the Bowl-A-Thon benefit the adults with disabilities served by our Therapeutic Recreation Program. Your support helps fund meaningful sports and educational programming, like bowling, cooking classes, debate club and much more!

A Tradition of Joy and Purpose

What began as a grassroots effort by the Rec team has grown into a cherished tradition. Years ago, we named the event the Sarah Oyen Classic, honoring one of our most passionate and successful fundraisers in the Rec department. Sarah may have moved to be closer to her extended family, but she continues to fundraise for LU through the bowl-a-thon! 

Fun Ways to Give

• Sponsor a Bowler You Love: Credit your donation to a Rec participant. All fundraisers will be honored at the event!
• Score-Based Giving (New!): Make your gift more exciting by pledging based on a bowler’s practice score! Pick someone you know, or let us pair you with one of our ambassadors. When their score is in, you can: 
  • Add a zero to a participant’s score (for example, a score of 83 = $830)
  • Donate per pin (for example, $1 per pin = $83)
