Explore your options below — most take just minutes to set up.

Gifts for the Future

Simple ways to leave a lasting legacy.
Beneficiary Designations
Name Life Unlimited as a beneficiary on your retirement account, life insurance policy, or bank account. It takes just a few minutes with your account provider, costs you nothing today, and can be updated anytime.
A Gift in Your Will
Include Life Unlimited in your will or living trust — supporting the causes that have mattered most in your life — with a specific amount, a percentage of your estate, or what remains after you’ve cared for loved ones. You keep full control of your assets during your lifetime; this gift only takes effect later.
Sample Will Language
“I give, devise, and bequeath [____% of my estate / all the rest, residue, and remainder of my estate / the sum of $____ ] to Life Unlimited, Inc., a nonprofit organization located at 320 Armour Rd, North Kansas City, MO 64116, Federal Tax ID # 43-1237483, for its general charitable purposes.”

Tax Smart Ways to Give Now

Stock and Appreciated Securities
Give stock, mutual funds, or other securities you’ve held for more than a year. You avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation and may claim a charitable deduction for the full fair market value.
IRA Qualified Charitable Distribution
If you’re 70½ or older, give directly from your IRA to Life Unlimited. Your gift counts toward your required minimum distribution and isn’t included in your taxable income.
Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs)
Recommend a grant to Life Unlimited from your DAF. It’s one of the simplest ways to give — a few clicks through your DAF provider, and the impact reaches us right away.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this cost me anything right now?
No. Most gift options described here — beneficiary designations and gifts in your will — don’t require you to give anything today. They take effect in the future.
Can I change my mind later?
Yes. Beneficiary designations and bequests are both revocable — you can update or remove them anytime as your circumstances change.
How will my gift be used?
You can direct your gift to a specific program or let Life Unlimited use it where it’s needed most at the time it’s received. We’re happy to talk through options.
Do I need a lawyer?
Beneficiary designations don’t require one — just a form from your account provider. A gift in your will typically involves your attorney or estate planner; we’re glad to provide sample language for them. There are also free options like freewill.com.
Is my information kept private if I let you know about my plans?
Yes. Letting us know is confidential and non-binding — it simply helps us plan and allows us to thank you.
